The Mentorship Committee of C.O.A.L.S. Council is dedicated to fostering the personal and professional growth of first-year students through the oversight of C.O.A.L.S. FX, the college’s premier freshman organization. Led by a Vice President and Co-Chair, the committee comprises 12 mentors who serve as leaders and role models for over 60 freshmen throughout the academic year. Each mentor pair, consisting of one male and one female, guides a group of 8-9 students, providing event communication, answering questions, and supporting their development. By championing professional development, service opportunities, and social engagement, the Mentorship Committee plays a pivotal role in cultivating future leaders within the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
